Mr. Dade is the new vice principal at Vallivue High School, taking over Mrs. Dean’s position when she was hired as the head principal. So far, Dade has been working hard to be involved in the community and get to know the students.
Right after high school, Dade joined the Army and was deployed to Iraq. After finishing his term of service with the military, he went to school to become a teacher. Right before he was hired at VHS, he worked at Heritage Middle School as a physical education teacher. However, he wanted to downsize and work in a smaller school district. After getting his administration degree he applied to be a principal, but his ultimate goal is to be an activities director.
Based on interactions with him, he loves to interact with the student body. Students say “he is always excited and nice to be around.” Dade is looking forward to making connections and building relationships with the students. He also wants to get to know students on a personal level and be a good role model they want to look up to. So far this school year he is enjoying working with the students and staff.
Even though being a vice principal wasn’t part of his original plan, Dade is looking forward to seeing our students grow and graduate.
