My name is Macy Benedick, and I am a sophomore at Vallivue High School. The reason I joined the journalism class this year was because I enjoy different types of writing. I also wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone by being required to interview people, and with the different styles of writing that I will be doing. The types of stories that I like working on are feature stories because they give a little freedom in writing, but also have a structure of fact. This year, I hope to learn about each type of story and how to write them, and also to improve my writing skills continuously throughout the year.
