The Favors released their debut album, The Dream, on Friday, September 19. It has 12 songs, starting with the track “Restless Little Heart,” and the album ends with the track “Home Sweet Home.” The Favors lead singers are Ashe and Finneas with marinelli on drums and Ricky Gourmet on guitars.
Finneas and Ashe have been the best of friends for years. They even created a couple of songs before the idea of this band existed. The two songs are “Till Forever Falls Apart” and “Moral of the Story.” Finneas and Ashe have both been making music for a long time. Finneas helps his sister, Billie Eilish, produce almost all of her music, and he also has two albums of his own. Ashe has made three albums throughout her music career.
The Dream has a very Fleetwood Mac and 70s-inspired sound. It has a timeless feel, which, according to Ashe in her interview with Good Morning America, was what the band was going for. The album is great both lyrically and musically. Each song on the album tells a story of some kind. Ashe states in her interview with EUPHORIA, “We really wanted to test the waters by treating it almost as a movie script.” This is definitely an interesting way to write songs, and the album worked extremely well.
As of now, there are no tour plans for this album, but Ashe and Finneas have been performing songs from the album at various festivals. There has been mention of a possible tour for the album, but nothing has been confirmed.
You can listen to the album on any music streaming platform, so be sure to support The Favors by listening to their debut album, The Dream.
