Hi, my name is Denai Hickman, and I’m a freshman here at Vallivue High School. I joined journalism because I really enjoy writing, and journalism gives me a creative way to do that. I especially love working on stories about music, such as album reviews and topics about the industry. I also find the sports industry very interesting. I enjoy watching sports, learning new things about them, and talking to the players. I also think it’s very important to be educated on news, and I want to help others stay informed by writing about it. I’m excited to learn more about the process of journalism and everything that goes into creating a great story. I’m looking forward to a great year ahead.
